Dr. Elie Bou Assi

Elie Bou Assi is an assistant professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Université de Montréal and a principal scientist at the Centre de Recherche du Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM). He is also affiliated with the Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO).

He obtained his PhD in biomedical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience at the Université de Montréal.

 

His principal research interests cover the application of artificial intelligence and the internet of things to improve the management of neurological and psychiatric conditions.

 

The excellence of his work has earned him the CRCHUM award of excellence in research (2019), the award of excellence in publication of the Canadian League Against Epilepsy (2019), and the CRCHUM Innove-Action research award (2021). More recently, the Brain Canada Foundation named him a future leader in Canadian brain research (2022).
